Welcome to the AADC research literature database. This resource contains peer reviewed publications of reviews, original investigations and clinical aspects relating to:

• L-aromatic amino acid decarboxylase biochemistry and enzymology
• Molecular biology of AADC deficiency

• Treatment for AADC deficiency

In addition, there are resources on other paediatric neurotransmitter diseases and also resources in Parkinson’s disease which may be of interest to some readers.

The content shows the abstract (overview) of the studies performed. There are links to the journal of the papers cited. Full text may be available free of charge for older papers. Papers may be downloaded in pdf format and will require adobe acrobat reader (download from www.adobe.com) to view these.

Those that require a subscription may also be downloaded for a pay per view price according to the terms and conditions of the individual journals. Please refer to each website for these. Those who have an academic or personal Athens log on may download the articles for free if their subscription/institutional contract includes the journal of interest. The site is quite comprehensive and regular updates will be made.
