Thank You!

 It was CHRISTMAS at

 M&S BAG PACKERS SUPREME!

What fabulous support you gave us this year, giving up your free time so near to Christmas when we know how much you have to do yourselves!  Two fabulous Saturdays in terms of collecting, even though the weather was horrendous on Sat 13th December, the cold driving wind and rain in Croydon still didn’t deter you!   The buzzing atmosphere and Christmas decorations were great in the Whitgift Centre with carols sounding out and big trays of mince pies being carried around for shoppers to taste and a tipple of mulled wine on offer at the fabulous Food Hall entrance of M&S!   Trustie Bear went walkabout, delighting all the excited children and posing shamelessly for photos!   He even took himself into other shops, collecting loads for the children with AADC while you were all having fun packing the tasty goodies away for people.

But no time for Trustie’s posing in Bromley the following week on Sat 20th December!   All of us were then far too busy furiously packing in their Food Hall!  The Christmas atmosphere was just as great but people were in a food-buying frenzy here, and we were flat out!   It’s really not surprising as the variety of delicious food arriving at the tills made your mouth water just looking at it, especially as some of you had got up at the crack of dawn and left without breakfast, it was torture!!!!!
What a lovely time we had, with a fabulous greeting from friendly staff that we met for the first time, and even though they were manically busy they still found time to take us under their wing!   ‘And by the way Bromley, you beat Croydon by £65!!!!’

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO BOTH BRANCHES OF M&S AND TO EVERYONE WHO CAME TO SUPPORT THE AADC RESEARCH TRUST – YOU WERE JUST GREAT!
