1990
The first cases of AADC deficiency were described by Hyland and Clayton
2006
The AADC Research Trust was formed and fundraising begins

The first meeting of the Trust’s medical and scientific advisory panel
The Trust’s first fully funded PhD studentship begins at the UCL Institute of Neurology
Part-funding for a new HPLC machine for the diagnosis and research of AADC deficiency
Small grant award to Georg Hoffman for AADC treatment research
International network and forum opens for AADC affected families
2008
Grant Awarded to Dr Wang-Tso Lee to develop a new model of AADC deficiency
The Trust engages help of Prof. Chris Harris to examine the eyes of AADC patients
Plasma AADC enzyme assay established in the UK following funding from the Trust
